Terrain & Scouting Report
The heart of the "Big Woods." This region is defined by massive plateau tops and steep, rocky stream valleys. Extensive timber management creates a patchwork of clear-cuts and mature mast-producing hardwoods. Features an extensive forest road system with many gated sections for walk-in solitude.
Recommended Tactics
Focus on the Kinzua Creek Valley and seek out 5-10 year old clear-cuts adjacent to hemlock thermal cover. In the ANF, miles matter—if you aren’t seeing sign, walk further past the seasonal gates to escape the 200-yard road hunters.
