Terrain & Scouting Report
A 1,600-acre tract that is predominantly wetland and marsh. It is a critical area for aquatic furbearers and migratory birds, with scattered hardwood ridges providing upland access.
Recommended Tactics
Focus on the "Marsh-to-Hardwood" transition. Trapping is the primary draw here; focus on the established "runs" and "slides" near beaver dams. For hunters, the late flintlock season is effective as deer move into the thickest marsh cover to escape winter winds. Work the switchgrass plantings and brushy bottomlands where PGC stocks birds throughout the season.
