Primary Target Species
White-tailed Deer, Black Bear, Wild Turkey, Ruffed Grouse, Gray Squirrel
Terrain & Scouting Report
A high-plateau tract bordering the Bennett Branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek. The terrain is characterized by steep "mountain-top" flats and deep, rocky drainages that feed into the river valley below.
Recommended Tactics
The "Point-Watch" method. Because the plateau breaks off steeply into the valley, wildlife uses specific "points" or natural ramps to move up and down. Locate a point with heavy mast (acorns) and set up on the leeward side of the wind to catch cruising bucks and bears moving between the valley and the flats.
