Terrain & Scouting Report
A 3,655-acre tract consisting largely of reclaimed surface mine areas. This creates unique early-successional habitat dominated by grasses, shrubs, and young birch/aspen stands.
Recommended Tactics
The "Grass-to-Glass" approach. The open reclaimed areas allow for long-distance glassing. Locate the "pockets" of thicker brush within the grasslands where deer bed. During the pheasant season, use the edges of the reclaimed flats where they meet the established woodlots for the best action.
