Terrain & Scouting Report

An 8,057-acre tract of reclaimed strip-mine land. It is one of the best areas in the region for grassland species and offers expansive open-country hunting opportunities.

Recommended Tactics

The "Bramble-Bash." Focus on the thick briar and shrub patches that have grown in the reclaimed areas. These are magnets for rabbits. For deer, the wide-open nature of the tract means they are very "edge" dependent; hunt the exact line where the open grass meets the surrounding hardwood forest.
