Appearance & Identification
Round white patch on drakes; yellow eye.
Preferred Habitat
Large rivers and deep reservoir bays.
Seasonal Behavior
Late-season migrators. They prefer open water and will stay as long as there is an ice-free patch on the Allegheny River.
Recommended Tactics
Long-line decoy spreads off rocky points. Focus on the "first light" flight when they move from roosts to feeding areas.
