Appearance & Identification
Rusty-red fur with white underparts, black "stockings" on legs, and a white-tipped tail.
Preferred Habitat
Agricultural edges, brushy fencerows, and open hardwoods.
Seasonal Behavior
Highly dependent on scent. Known for "mousing" in open fields where they pounce on subnivean (under-snow) rodents.
