Appearance & Identification
Small, streaked brown shorebird with an exceptionally long bill and a zig-zag flight pattern.
Preferred Habitat
Muddy edges of the Allegheny river and flooded pastures.
Seasonal Behavior
Relies on camouflage until the last second, then flushes with a harsh "scaipe" call.
Recommended Tactics
Walking wet, boggy areas. They are a challenge for even the best wing-shooters due to their erratic flight.
